Donate cell phones for soldiers

Assemblywoman Annie Rabbitt (R-I-C- Greenwood Lake) held a press conference at her Sloatsburg satellite office with Village Trustee Brian Nugent (left), Uncle Buck of WTBQ (middle), and Bob Martell of American Legion Post 488 (right) to encourage Orange and Rockland County residents to drop off cell phones for our troops overseas. The “Cell Phones for Soldiers” program is designed to collect old and no longer used cell phones, as well as accessories, which will be converted to prepaid calling cards that U.S. military personnel can use to contact loved ones at home. Cell phones will be collected in Assemblywoman Annie Rabbitt’s district office located at 41 High Street in Goshen, as well as her satellite office located at 96 Orange Turnpike in Sloatsburg. The Sloatsburg office is open every Tuesday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. For more information contact Rabbitt’s office at 291-3631 or 753-2356.
