District offers driver's education

    Warwick — The Warwick Valley School District will be offering a driver’s education program during the Spring 2006 semester. The course will be offered by an independent driving school, and the cost to each student will be $285. Applications will be available in the guidance office by Thursday, Dec. 1. The deadline for registration is Thursday, Dec. 15. Sign-up for the program is on a first-come, first-serve basis for seniors and juniors. If, by the deadline date, there are still openings, then sophomores may be considered. Students must have their learner’s permit, as issued by the Motor Vehicle Department, and must be 16 years old on or before Feb. 2, 2006.
