Dinner benefits Quinn memorial fund

Warwick —The Anthony C. Quinn Memorial Fund’s third annual St. Stephen’s Columbus Day Dinner Dance takes place at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 7, at the St. Stephen’s School Gymnasium. Anthony passed away in 2004 at the age of 23 from injuries sustained in a car accident. As a student, Anthony swam for Warwick Valley High School from 1992 to 1998. He established a school record in the 100-yard backstroke that still stands today. As a graduate student studying physical therapy at Dominican College, he became a certified swim coach, served as a substitute teacher for the Warwick Valley School District and was the coach of both the girls and boys varsity swim teams. The Dinner-Dance raises money for scholarships in his memory. Tickets are $40 adults, ages 21 and over. BYOB. The event is catered by Benito’s Restaurant with music by Rich Pell.
