Warwick — Local artists are all set to create denim jackets that will be auctioned at the Friends of the Albert Wisner Public Library’s 5th annual Moonlight Over Warwick Gala, to be held Saturday, Oct. 27, at Hickory Hill Golf Club. The Blue Jean Ball will feature artistically decorated denim jackets and denim items for the silent and live auctions. Jackets were donated by Christ Church Thrift Shop, Donna Martin of Avanti Women’s Apparel and other individual donors. Over 25 artists are donating their time and talent to the Blue Jean Ball, using a variety of media to create original denim jackets for adults and children. Each denim item will include a custom embroidered “made by” label, designed by Lynn Peruso of Warwick Monogramming & Sporting Goods. The denim items will be showcased in Village of Warwick merchant windows prior to the event.
