Members of the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC) and New York City Fire Department (FDNY) came to the Orange County Fire Training Center for a week of drills and training. “To be able to provide training services and programs that meet or exceed the standards of New York State and the FDNY is just incredible and it is important to note that this is the same caliber of training we provide to our own Orange County firefighters,” said County Fire Coordinator John Horan. The county’s Fire Training Center has recently undergone extensive renovations which now allow for enhanced training not only for Orange County firefighters but outside agencies as well.
