Danielle's locks

Danielle Serritella from Pine Island donated 10 inches of her hair this summer to the “Locks of Love” program which provides hair pieces to disadvantaged children suffering from long-term medical hair loss. It took Danielle, who is 7, two years to grow this much hair and many nights of fighting with the tangles. But she wanted to do it because her Aunt Shannon did it, and she thought it would be a nice thing to do. Mary, at Rumors in Vernon, N.J., provided the hair cut at no cost. Danielle is a second grader at Pine Island Elementary. (Provided photos)
