County sponsors walk-in flu shot clinics

GOSHEN-The Orange County Health Department will hold walk-in adult flu clinics on Wednesday, Feb. 9, from 9:30 to 11 a.m., at the following locations: • 124 Main St., Goshen (291-2332). • 141 Broadway, Newburgh (568-5333). • 33 Fulton St., Middletown (346-1113). "Although there was a peak of cases earlier in January, influenza is still in the community and a second peak is sometimes seen in February and March," said Orange County Health Commissioner Dr. Jean Hudson. The county also has been sending vaccine supplied by the state to local doctors' offices and it advises residents who cannot make the clinics to contact their own physicians.
