Cookbook to fund 9/11 scholarships
MONROE-Lynne Morris' life is being honored by a memorial fund that will provide scholarships to students with the same affinity for education and success as she had. Although her life was cut short on Sept. 11, 2001, her family believes her memory can still spread light by helping others through these scholarships. To fund the scholarship program, a cookbook containing 300 recipes from many special people has been put together by Mark Chabus, Lynne's boyfriend and founder of the memorial fund. It includes many family-held secret-recipes packaged in a three-ring binder to allow for additional recipes. The cost is $15. If you would like to support this project by purchasing a cookbook, you can do so by accessing Chabus's Web site at www.forkandknife.com or by contacting Lynne's parents, Pat and Chick Morris at 781-0868. Details on how to apply for the scholarship will be announced in the future. Lynne Morris was 22 years old when she went to work at Cantor Fitzgerald in the World Trade Center on Sept. 11, 2001.
