Warwick — The Warwick Valley Telephone (WVT) Communications company recently launched a new e-mail system, providing an improved customer experience with new e-mail features and a user-friendly account management interface. Now powered by Linux Magic, Warwick Online (WOL) processes e-mail at a faster rate, with more reliable delivery. New features such as vacation auto-response; calendar and address book; and anti-spam and anti-virus settings can be customized by the user. Customers can even create additional e-mail addresses and change passwords online, eliminating the need to contact WVT Tech Support for these functions. Additionally, WOL Web mail allows customers to check and send e-mail at work, while traveling, or from anywhere they can access the Internet. After messages are checked through web mail, they are still available for downloading to the customer’s home PC when they return. “Customers seem to be happy with the new e-mail features and they’re eager to customize their e-mail accounts,” says Michelle DeGennaro, WVT senior online support technician. “Already customers who save large mail files are telling me that our new servers handle and process e-mail much more quickly and reliably than before.” The new e-mail platform is the first of many new products and services the company plans to roll out over the next 12 to 18 months to better serve its customers.
