College notes

Graduations Johnathan N. Vega of Pine Island was among the more than 970 students earning a bachelor’s or associate’s degree at The University of Scranton’s undergraduate commencement, which was held on May 29. Margaret Zaccardi of Greenwood Lake graduated from Smith College on May 15. She received a bachelor of art degree in computer science. Dean’s list Larissa Morgan Gluszak of Warwick was named to the dean’s list for the spring 2011 semester at Mount Saint Mary College in Newburgh. She will be a senior in the fall. Alexa Savaglio of Florida, daughter of Tom and Laurie Savaglio, has been named to the spring 2011 president’s list at the College of St. Rose with a 4.0 GPA. Alexa is a now a senior, special education major with a minor in Spanish. Malcolm Boone of Sugar Loaf has been named to the dean’s list for the spring 2011 semester at Keystone College in La Plume, Pa. The dean’s list recognizes students that have a grade point average of 3.6 or higher with a minimum of 12 credit hours. Malcolm is a rising senior at Keystone, where he is majoring in sport recreation and management. He also is a member of the Keystone college men’s varsity basketball team. He is the son of Gregory and Angela Boone. Katelyn Faliski, the daughter of Paul and Doreen Faliski of Florida, has been named to the spring 2011 dean’s list at Oneonta State University with a GPA of 3.73. Katelyn is majoring in fashion design.
