College notes

Dean’s list Michelle Dugan of the Village of Florida has been named to the dean’s list for the fall 2011 semester at St. Thomas Aquinas College in Sparkill. To qualify, students must maintain a GPA of at least a 3.5 out of a possible 4.0.

Michelle, a junior who is studying psychology, also has become a member of the International Honor Society for Psychology (PSICHI) as well as a member of the International Honor Society for Social Sciences (Pi Gamma Mu).

She is the daughter of Karen and Mike Dugan of Florida.

Gavin Hannah, a 2010 graduate of Warwick Valley High School, has been named to the dean’s list for the fall 2011 semester at SUNY Cortland. Gavin is a physical education major.

Benjamin Durland of Warwick has been named to the dean’s list for the fall 2011 semester at SUNY Geneseo. To qualify, a student must earned a grade point average of 3.5 or better while carrying four or more courses.

Benjamin is a sophomore whose major is English and whose minor is music.

The following students were named to the dean’s list for the fall 2011 semester at the College of Saint Rose in Albany:

Chelsea Evanyke of Warwick. Alexa Savaglio of Warwick.

Full-time students who complete a minimum of 12 credit hours and achieve a semester grade-point average of at least 3.5 with no grades of D, F, Incomplete or Pass/Fail are eligible for inclusion on the dean’s list. A total of 848 students were named to the college’s dean’s list last semester.

The following students were named to the dean’s list for the fall 2011 semester at Fairfield University in Connecticut:

Audrey Longfellow of Warwick. Caitlin Carroll of Florida. This is the fifth time Caitlin has been named to the college’s dean’s list.

To be selected for the dean’s list, a student must attain a grade point average of at least 3.5 of a possible 4.0.

Jaclyn Lawrence, a resident of Warwick, has been named to the fall 2011 dean’s list at Roger Williams University in Bristol, R.I.

Full-time students who complete 12 or more credits per semester and earn a GPA of 3.4 or higher are placed on the dean’s list that semester.

James Huchital of Warwick has been named to the dean’s list for the fall 2011 semester at the State University of New York Institute of Technology at Utica/Rome.

A semester grade point average of 3.20-3.59 or above qualifies full-time, matriculated students for inclusion on the dean’s list.

Graduations Emily A. Shields of Warwick was awarded a Bachelor of Science degree in communications from Boston University in January.
