Clinton H. Dolson, 1935-2005

    Chester - Clinton H. Dolson, the owner of C & M Lawn Experts in Monroe, died Sunday, Aug. 21, 2005, at Orange Regional Medical Center in Goshen. Mr. Dolson was 70 and was a lifelong resident of the area. The son of the late Clinton H. and Josephine Ashley Dolson, he was born Aug. 18, 1935 in Warwick. He was married to Maxine W. Rosenstock Dolson. Mr. Dolson was a volunteer for the Food Pantry in the Village of Florida. His family, in their statement, said: "He was a local farmer for many years and then became a heavy equipment operator. He enjoyed fishing and, most of all, helping people. He was a master wood craftsman and mechanic." He is survived by wife, Maxine W. Dolson, of Chester; his sons: Steven Raines of Chester; Capt. Robert Raines of the state of South Carolina; and Jack Raines of Wallkill; his daughters: Clarisse Rich of Middletown; Denise Stanford of Middletown; Teresa Decker of the state of Texas; Patricia Quinn of New York; and Jennifer Miner of the state of Texas; his sister, Genevieve Winship of the state of South Carolina; his 19 grandchildren and his two great-grandchildren. Services were held Aug. 24 at Smith, Seaman & Quackenbush, Inc. Funeral Home in Monroe. The Rev. Bruce Younkin officiated. Burial was in the Monroe Cemetery.
