Classical guitar teacher comes to Woodbury

Highland Mills - International classical guitarist Maoz Ezra will be teaching beginner guitar classes this January at the Meade Enrichment Academy in Highland Mills. Ezra began studying guitar in Israel 20 years ago; in 2000, he continued his studies in Paris at Ecole Normale de Musique de Paris and Conservatoire M. Ravel. He remained in France for five years studying, teaching and performing before settling in New York City where he received a scholarship to Manhattan School of Music, where he continues to teach and perform while pursuing his masters in music performance. He will be teaching the first in a series of beginner group instrumental classes planned by Meade Enrichment Academy in Highland Mills. “This is a great opportunity for a beginning student to study with a top notch teacher at affordable group rates,” said Academy Director Kim Hood. Classes begin Jan. 4 at St. Patrick’s Parish Center in Highland Mills. Tuition is $310 for 20 classes’ no experience is necessary although students must provide their own guitar.
