'Cats' is coming to Warwick Valley High School in March

    Warwick — The memory will live again this March when the Warwick Valley High School Drama Club produces the Tony Award-winning musical “Cats,” by Andrew Lloyd Weber, as its 2012 spring musical. “Cats” is Broadway’s second longest-running musical, which played for more than 7,000 performances at the Winter Garden Theater in New York City. Since its opening, the musical has been presented in more than 20 countries and in about 250 cities. Further, it has the distinction of being the longest, continuously touring show in American theater history. The Warwick Valley High School Drama Club is proud to be the first area high school to tackle this family musical. “Cats” will be performed on March 16 and 17. Tickets for this production will go on sale in mid-February via the club’s box office. Directing the musical is the drama club’s long-time director, Nick DiLeo. Joining him once again are Medie Ann Close and Donna Nestor as producers, David Crone as musical director, Barbara Welch as vocal coach, Beth Maisonet as choreographer, Anna Thomas as set designer, Al Ridella as lighting consultant and Scott Hansen as technical director.
