Calling all teens to library teen advisory board meeting

Warwick — The Albert Wisner Public Library wants to encourage teen involvement. One facet of this is the library’s teen advisory board, whose members range from ages 12-18. Meeting once monthly, the group provides input to library staff on materials they’d like to see included, updated or expanded, about programs they’d like to see created that are targeted toward their interests or concerns, and about ways to make the library a helpful, inviting place to find recreational materials and conduct research for school. All teens interested in participating on the teen advisory board should mark their calendars for 7 p.m., Feb. 14, when the library will host a pizza party to gather members — both new and existing — to meet one another and discuss ideas for spring- and summertime programming. Call the library at 986-1047, ext. 23, to register for this party, so the staff can plan accordingly.
