Zayda’s Toy Emporium is a family owned and operated toy store in Orange County, which recently opened a new location at 5 First St. in the Village of Warwick.

On Saturday, Nov. 20, Mayor Michael Newhard and members of the Warwick Valley Chamber of Commerce joined owners Wayne and Wendy Davidovitch and their family members, who also serve as staff, to celebrate the occasion with a ribbon cutting.

Zayda is the Yiddish word for grandfather.

“Warwick is a town we always dreamed of being part of,” said Wendy Davidovitch. “We are beyond grateful to finally take place in this community as both a family and a business. In the spirit of our beloved Zayda, his ever radiant heart and jovial congeniality lives through us all. We are beyond excited to welcome you to the Zayda’s Family. We thank you for everything.”

Zayda’s Toy Emporium features old and new favorite toys and collectibles for anyone in the family. And Wendy, Wayne and their daughter Michaela Davidovitch say they are connoisseurs in all things fun. And their stated goal is to bring the Zayda’s fun to your family.

“We would be honored to welcome you to our family,” said Michaela Davidovitch. “We can’t wait to meet you.”
