Business notebook: Warwick ShopRite having a facelift

Warwick - Shoppers at Warwick’s ShopRite supermarket on Route 94 South have probably noticed some significant changes now in progress since early March. “We listened to our customers,” said Manager Seth Wertz, “and we’re making this store better and easier for shoppers.” According to Wertz, the renovations will not be completed until mid-May but any confusion or minor inconveniences experienced during the work will be well rewarded with less clutter, wider aisles, additional natural and organic selections and more varieties of fresh produce. New features will include a state-of-the-art cheese program staffed by employees qualified to help customers navigate their way through a large selection of imported and domestic cheeses. Staff will also be trained to answer questions about new items in other specialty departments. “We’re making sure that we have the happiest and friendliest teams to properly serve our valued customers,” said Wertz. ShopRite supermarkets are members of Wakefern Food Corporation, a retailer-owned cooperative. Through the 200 stores, located throughout New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Connecticut and Delaware, ShopRite serves more than four million customers each week. Warwick’s ShopRite has been a long time supporter of the community and a good neighbor. The supermarket supports fund raisers and community projects by donating products, service and cash to worthy charities and events as well as offering space outside the store for the sale of raffle tickets and the like.
