WARWICK—Girl Scout Brownie Troop 409 served tea for much more than two when they helped out at Mount Alverno Center, an adult home and assisted living program on June 28. The Brownies not only helped set up and serve tea to the residents, but they brought cookies purchased with donations they had personally solicited. During the tea, the girls entertained the seniors with some of their favorite “Brownie” songs including the “Brownie Smile Song” along with “This Land is Your Land” and a song that generated laughter just from its title, “On Top of Spaghetti.” “Our girls were very pleased that they could bring joy to the seniors,” said Scout Leader Rochelle Gibbons. “We are thrilled that the members of Troop 409 were able to visit Mount Alverno again and bring so many delicious cookies with them,” said Administrator Lisa Fedorka. “The cooperation we receive from the Warwick community is outstanding and a constant source of joy for all our residents. Everyone is grateful that these wonderful young ladies decided to return to the Center and contribute to our afternoon tea.”
