Warwick — British sculptor Adam Binder came to Mima’s in Warwick on Saturday, Nov. 18 to benefit Winslow Therapeutic Riding Center. Mima’s opened its doors to the public to meet Adam and get his signature on collection pieces. Complete with horse and buggy rides, hors d’oeurves and wine, Binder’s visit was hosted by shop owner Mima Dinetz and helped to raise money for Winslow Therapeutic Riding Center, a not-for-profit organization. Binder raffled off some of his pieces to the public, with all the proceeds from the raffle tickets benefiting Winslow. An auction was also held for two of his other sculptures to benefit a center in the United Kingdom. Binder unveiled his latest limited-edition piece, “The Three Sprites,” as well. Visitors from all over the country came to meet Binder, to see the unveiling of his latest piece and to support Winslow. Following the event, a dinner was held at the beautiful Warwick Winery, where guests dined with the artist and learned more about Winslow. Binder has helped Winslow Therapeutic Riding Center in the past. Two years ago, Binder visited the center to unveil his “Winslow” piece, which was also specially crafted to raise money for the organization. Binder’s love of animals and his kind heart are unquestionable, and Winslow Therapeutic Riding Center is grateful for all he has done.
