Bravo

The Warwick Valley High School Wind Ensemble, under the direction of Chris Persad, takes its final bow during the High School’s third annual Pops Concert on Feb. 22. Pianist and composer Richard Kimball was the guest artist. The concert also featured the Jazz Band, Symphony Orchestra, Concert Band, and Meistersingers, under Persad’s direction. Kimball sat in with the Jazz Band, and also accompanied the Meistersingers, before leading the Wind Ensemble in Gershwin’s “Rhapsody in Blue.” Senior Samantha Bisaro, principle clarinet in the ensemble, played the opening notes of the rhapsody.
