Bowling for recreational therapy

Residents from Warwick’s Schervier Pavilion, the Mount Alverno Assisted Living Center and the pavilion’s “Day-At-A-Time Program” have formed their own bowling league at Warwick’s Frontier Lanes Bowling Alley. To accommodate the seniors, especially those using wheelchairs, Frontier Lanes provides lightweight house balls, ramps and bumpers. Gathering prior to a recent game were, in the back row and from the left: Arthur Olin, activity aide Elise Johansen, recreation aide Roselle Egan, Victoria Cory, volunteer Frank Colvin, Mary Meleta, recreation director Kari Call, Brady Greer, and Kathleen DeBold. Front row, from the left: Schervier Pavilion residents Beatrice Galligan, Lena Pagano, Helen Guntsch and Sal Dim. The league will feature an awards banquet for residents and their families.
