BonkerZ Preschool holds graduation
SUGAR LOAF The BonkerZ Learn and Play Center preschool graduation ceremony was held on June 16, with 23 preschool graduates showing off the things they have learned to an audience of approximately 200 of their families and friends. The Graduation Ceremony was held at the Lycian Theatre in Sugarloaf. The ceremony began with a slide show featuring pictures of each child as they grew from an infant to a preschooler along with photos of the children involved in school activities with their friends. The crowd also saw videotaped interviews of each child answering questions such as “Are you going to get married when you grow up?” “What kind of job are you going to have?” “Are girls/boys icky or do you like them?” and “What is your favorite activity at school?” When the slide show ended, the children, all dressed in their caps and gowns, entered to Pomp and Circumstance and began to show off the things they learned at BonkerZ. They recited the Pledge of Allegiance, then the BonkerZ Learn and Play Center School Pledge. The graduates sang their days of the week song and said hello in several languages such as English, Spanish, French, Gaelic, Indian, Welsh, Hawaiian, and more. The children performed skits to songs such as “The ABC’s of You,” “Broccoli,” “Skinnamarink,” and “Days in Motion.” They recited a poem all about the things they learned in preschool and sang “Kindergarten, Here we Come,” and “You are My Sunshine.” Special guest readers Brandon Miller (9 years old) and Alexander Adam (6 years old) recited the poem “All I Ever Needed to Know I Learned in Kindergarten.” Each child received an award from their teacher and a diploma.
