Benefit auction to be held for Schloicka family

Florida Bob Schloicka, a life-long resident of Florida, was involved in a serious automobile accident on Sunday, Nov. 20, on the Pulaski Highway. Because of the severity of his injuries, he was airlifted to the Westchester Medical Center emergency surgery. His injuries have confined him to a wheelchair. Schloicka is the sole proprietor of R & R Machining & Mechanical Services. His employees, family and friends are helping to keep the business running. However, his absence means that the family has become a single-income household. His extensive injuries and long rehabilitation will prevent him from fully returning to work for approximately one year. A benefit auction, “Bid For Bob,” will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 21, at the William Jenack Auction Gallery on King’s Highway in Chester. A preview and reception, with refreshments and good cheer, will be held from noon to 2 p.m. With community help, friends are hoping to raise enough money to help Bob, his wife Robyn, and their daughters Kaelyn and Madelyn, get through this trying time. Donations, itemized as “Bid for Bob,” are being accepted at: William Jenack Auction Gallery, 62 Kings Highway, Chester NY 10918. For more information, call 469-9095 or write to info@jenack.com.
