'Senior — Senior Prom’ for Mount Alverno Center residents Warwick — Mount Alverno Center residents recently joined friends, families and staff members to celebrate a “Senior - Senior Prom.” “This was a great opportunity for our residents to recall and share fond memories of this traditional school days event,” said Senior Recreational Therapist Kelly Fedrizzi. “And all our staff from housekeeping to accounting to administration participated.” The idea for a “Senior - Senior Prom” at Mount Alverno Center was born earlier this year when Fedrizzi offered to revive the same event that she had organized at Schervier Pavilion in 2009. Raffle prizes, refreshments and decorations for the event were donated by Burger King, Corwin Florist, Country Dream, El Azteca, Franico’s Pizzeria, Price Chopper, ShopRite and Yesterday’s. On the day of the prom the staff prepared buffet tables complete with appetizers, punch and other refreshments. DJ Octavius, a popular local entertainer, was on hand to sing and play music for dancing. The prom also featured a chance for residents, family members and staff to cast their votes for prom king and queen as well as prince and princess. The winners were then presented with their sashes and crowns.
