Award-winning poster art

James Riley of Warwick, a junior at George F. Baker High School in Tuxedo, won the grand prize in the 20th annual poster contest sponsored by Alcoholism and Drug Abuse Council of Orange County, which this year drew 2,000 entries. Riley was recognized at the council’s ceremony at the Paramount Theatre in Middletown, on March 27. His original artwork is now the official poster for alcohol and drug prevention for 2007, and is on display in various public offices and locations. He also is enrolled in the Graphic arts/advertising program at Orange County BOCES Career Tech Center. (Provided photos)
