Warwick - An estimated 1,200 people showed up at Thomas Bull Memorial Park on Sunday, Oct. 7, to show support and help raise awareness about autism. The yearly event—this was the fourth—was created by a group of volunteer parents called Parents Run AMOC (Autism Move-A-Thon of Orange County) in conjunction with the Mental Health Association in Orange County. Proceeds from the event go to helping families in Orange County who are dealing with the diagnosis of autism. Each family may request a stipend to help with therapies, supplements, conferences or with any other cost associated with the disorder.
