Auditions set for Illustrious Theatre thriller

    Warwick —The Illustrious Theatre Company, in residence at the Warwick Valley Winery, is holding auditions for its upcoming production of Ira Levin's "Veronica's Room." The tryouts, which will consist of readings from the play, will be held from 12:30 to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 24, at Christ Church, 50 South Street, Warwick, and from 7 to 10 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 27, in the former senior room (next to the police station) at the Warwick Town Hall, 132 Kings Highway. The play, a thriller by the author of "Rosemary's Baby" and "The Stepford Wives," calls for four actors: a man and a woman in their mid-fifties to early sixties, a young man in his mid- to late-twenties, and a young woman in her twenties.
