Ashman and Benson honored at Inspire's Holiday Ball

Goshen Inspire held its annual Holiday Ball at the Middletown Elks Lodge in November, honoring Chris Ashman and Donna Benson as its “Shining Star Award” recipients. Ashman is the Orange County Commissioner of Mental Health and Benson is the Orange County Clerk. Benson was honored for Exemplary Service to Orange County and Ashman for Outstanding Service to People with Disabilities. The dinner-dance, which featured Jimmy Sturr and His Orchestra, raised an encouraging amount of money. The proceeds will be invested in Inspire’s long-term endowment fund for future programs and services for people with disabilities. Inspire plans to hold its annual Holiday Ball again next year, and is already considering honoree candidates. Inspire, located in Goshen, has been providing a variety of outpatient diagnostic and treatment services for people with disabilities in Orange County for over 55 years. Inspire Kids is a special education preschool for children ages 2 ½ to 5 years of age with special needs or challenges.
