Applefest Eve events planned

    WARWICK-It's a bonus for local residents. During Applefest Eve, Warwick residents can enjoy all of the Applefest rides and games without having to wait on long lines. Applefest Eve will be held on Saturday, Oct. 2 from 4 to 10 p.m. at Stanley-Deming Park. Proceeds from Applefest Eve benefit the Warwick Valley Community Center. "Come enjoy a relaxed evening of fun with your family and neighbors, said Community Center Director Karen Thomas. She said "an added bonus is that you and your children can ride all night for only $10 a ticket." Favorite rides will include the Scrambler, Ferris Wheel, Slides, the Whip and Fire Engines. Food and games of skill will also be available. Parking will be at nearby Park Avenue Elementary School. For more information call the community center at 986-6422.
