WARWICK — Warwick Town Supervisor Michael Sweeton, Garrett Durland, president of the Warwick Valley Chamber of Commerce and Executive Director Michael Johndrow joined pharmacist AnnMarie Cloutier and her husband David for the grand opening of her new Apple Valley Pharmacy. The ribbon cutting ceremony was held outside her new drug store, the former ReDi Pharmacy, at 44 Ronald Reagan Boulevard in the Merchant Square shopping plaza just off Kings Highway. Cloutier is a graduate of Warwick Valley High School; she and her husband live in Warwick with their three children. She received her bachelor of science degree in pharmacy at Northeastern University and her doctorate degree in pharmacy from the University of Rhode Island. Cloutier’s work experience includes: Massachusetts General Hospital, Solvay Pharmaceuticals, St. Anthony Community Hospital, Empire BC/BS and ReDi Pharmacy. She worked with the former owner of ReDi Pharmacy for several years before buying the business. And, she said, “The same friendly and knowledgeable staff remain.” Cloutier is a member of the Professional Compounding Centers of America and has taken numerous courses on compounding for humans and animals. Her pharmacy offers custom prescription compounding medications tailor made to meet the specific needs of patients. Apple Valley Pharmacy also carries Medela breast pumps, supplies and nursing apparel. Cloutier is certified to fit for nursing bras and also licensed to provide flu and pneumonia vaccines. No appointment or insurance is required for flu shots. Apple Valley Pharmacy also offers homeopathic remedies and boasts a new gift department, Cozy Corner Gifts, with a selection of hand made items by local artisans including hats, blankets and jewelry. The pharmacy also carries Burt’s Bees, Casewell-Massey Apothecary, Yankee Candles, children’s toys and unique home accessories along with a wide selection of greeting cards, free gift-wrapping and gift certificates. “Apple Valley,” said Cloutier, “is the family-friendly pharmacy that delivers and is here to serve all members of your family.” The pharmacy offers free local delivery to home or office Monday through Friday. And 24-hour emergency prescription service is available by calling the pharmacy at 988-5805.
