WARWICK — New to Warwick this year is The maze at Wright Family Farm, a pumpkin-shaped corn maze open now through Oct. 28. The maze, designed and built by The MAiZE, based in American Folk, Utah, offers people the opportunity to spend as much time as they’d like navigating around paths among the corn stalks. Since its founding in 1996, The MaiZE is the world’s largest cornfield maze company, having built over 1,200 mazes. This year, the MaiZE has built 190 mazes in the U.S., Canada, Italy, Poland and the United Kingdom. Warwick resident Mitchell Markowitz, 12, was one of many walking the paths. He claims to hold this season’s record, thus far, of getting through the entire maze. “I think it took us five or 10 minutes, that’s all,” Mitchell said. “They told us it could be a record.” He stopped briefly on top of the bridge overlooking the maze to admire the view. “It’s fun to just get lost and walk around,” he added as he took off to find his friend. Maze admission is $8 for adults; $6 for kids aged five to 12; and free for children aged four and under. For discount coupons or additional information, visit: www.wrightfamilyfarm.com.
