All politics is local

June 26 was the “Day of Action” sponsored by the New York Civil Liberties Union in cooperation with many other non-partisan human rights organizations. Thousands of people gathered in Washington, D.C. to lobby Congress to restore the right to habeas corpus, to end torture and to close Guantanamo prison. Meeting with Rep.
