Adoption open house offers information

MIDDLETOWN-The Adoption Group of Orange County will hold an Open House at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 28, at the Wallkill Community Center on Wes Warren Drive in Middletown. According to a survey conducted by the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption, two-thirds of Americans have close friends or relatives who have adopted, have been adopted, or have placed a child for adoption, and 40 percent of Americans have seriously considered adopting a child. Participants can learn what's involved in adopting a child from the United States, Russia, Guatemala, and China, as well as from foster care.
