On Saturday, the Warwick Women in Black held a special Vigil for Peace in silent remembrance of the more than 4,000 U.S. troops who have been killed in Iraq. One of the women, Emily Boardman, commented: “This is a somber milestone. It is high time that we human beings learned to solve our problems by communicating, not killing.” Pictured with Boardman, at the far right, are Patricia DeBruhl, Richard Bennett, Jude Roche and Alice McMechen. Meanwhile, on March 24, Marshall DeBruhl stood on Main Street in Warwick holding a sign which read: 4,000 Dead. He said: “While there is violence, there is no truth.” Warwick Women in Black will hold its next Vigil for Peace at the corner of Lewis Park in Warwick on Saturday, April 26, at 1 p.m.
