A magical performance at Park Avenue

Warwick - They may call that circus “The Greatest Show on Earth,” but obviously they haven’t seen “Aladdin Jr.” presented by Park Avenue’s drama club. The show was phenomenal, amazing, funny and awesome! The actors and actresses were extremely talented and worked great together. The dancing was unbelievable and the singing was beautiful. The ensemble numbers had bright and colorful costumes with an arrangement of different, funny characters. The scenery and set was so realistic and cool, which bring me to the stage crew who did a fantastic job “behind the scenes.” As an overall play, though, they made it look like just a lot of fun. Everyone looked happy, which made the audience feel happy, too. The acting was so believable you almost didn’t believe it was fourth and fifth graders presenting this great performance. You felt their feelings through the music, characters, or mood set by the scene. I imagine the directors worked hard with them, because it was, truly, overall “the Greatest Show on Earth.” Jesse Sander is a cub reporter covering students and events at Park Avenue Elementary for The Warwick Advertiser.
