Vincent Kujawski of Florida, N.Y., who is awaiting a life-saving bone marrow transplant, is pictured here with Peg Kolman, RN, at student-run blood drive held at Goshen High School on Feb. 23. Kujawski and many of his family members attended the drive, where students also conduct a bone marrow tissue-typing program to match people who need marrow or blood cell transplants with suitable donors. This year’s drive added 40 potential donors to National Marrow Donor Program registry at no cost to participants. All costs are covered by fundraising and private donations. Kolman serves as an advisor to the annual drive. For information about the program, visit www.marrow.org.
