CHESTER — The past two Saturdays were very successful fundraisers for the Hare Raisers. At Shop Rite in Chester on Nov. 26, and at Adams in Newburgh on Dec. 3, the coin drop donations totaled $988.86. With this money the club purchased 72 hats, 78 gloves, 8 heavy outdoor socks, 10 scarves and 4 crocheted blankets. Additionally, material was purchased, and over 30 polar fleece blankets were made by club members, to be donated to needy families and Project Linus. Also, many gave generously to the donation boxes that had been set up in area schools. The 4-H Orange County Hare Raisers are thankful to all who made their community service project a success.
