32 people in town of Warwick have filed for disaster assistance

    ALBANY-Thirty-two people from throughout the town of Warwick are among the 317 Orange County residents who have applied for federal disaster assistance following the severe storms and flooding of April 2-4, according to the Federal Emergency Management Agency and State Emergency Management Office. More than 2,000 New Yorkers have applied for disaster assistance. More than $3.3 million has been approved for Housing Assistance, which may include lodging expense reimbursement, repair assistance and temporary rental assistance. In Orange County, 317 people have filed claims totalling $552,296. In the town of Warwick, the breakdown of eligible applicants include: 24 residents of the village of Warwick; five from Greenwood Lake; two from the village of Florida; and one from Pine Island.
