Woodbury Lions show their appreciation

Woodbury Lions Club members Doug Carey, Craig Torrie and George Lane present a plaque to Kathy McFadden of the WalMart store in Monroe in appreciation for the company’s continued support of the club. WalMart has provided matching grants to help the club fund scholarships to high school seniors from Woodbury who have overcome a handicap, have a good academic record and have participated in community and extra-curricular school activities. The club’s main fundraiser, known as The Woodbury Country Ramble, will be held Aug. 24 at the Monroe-Woodbury High School. (Photo provided by the Woodbury Lions Club)
