WARWICK — She came into the world at 10:13 p.m. on New Year’s Day, thus earning the honor of being the first baby born this year at St. Anthony Community Hospital in Warwick.
Clara Mae, born to Matthew and Caitlin Vantress of Greenwood Lake, weighed nine pounds and measured 20-1/4 inches long.
Obstetrician Rebeca Caban, M.D., was the attending physician assisted by nurses Regina Merrigan, RNC, and Kaitlyn Conklin, RN.
“I love the doctors and the nurses here,” said Caitlin Vantress. “And this facility is beautiful.”
The national award-winning Kennedy Birthing Center is a state-of-the-art maternity unit, providing many innovative options and amenities.
About 500 children are born here each year.
