Union AME Church honors five Women of Distinction

WARWICK On Saturday evening, May 5, a well-attended event, sponsored by Warwicks Union African Methodist Episcopal Church, was held at the picturesque Breezy Point restaurant on the west shore of Greenwood Lake.
More than 100 guests arrived at the restaurant to honor five local Women of Distinction for the church and community service.
The dinner was chaired by Channabel Latham-Morris.
Honorees at the dinner were: Rosemary Cooper, director of the Albert Wisner Library.
Bessie Holmes, LPN, a member of Union AME Church, who retired from St. Anthony Community Hospital last year after 24 years of service.
Jo Hull, assistant to the director of the Historical Society of the Town of Warwick.
Judy Lindberg, vice president of Patient Services at St. Anthony Community Hospital:
Laurie Motejl, nurse manager intensive care at St. Anthony Community Hospital:
Rev. David L. Crumpton, pastor of Union AME Church, presented the honorees with individual awards.
During the dinner they each received a certificate from the New York State Assembly, presented by Justice Nancy DAngelo on behalf of Assemblywoman Annie Rabbitt.
Town of Warwick Supervisor Michael Sweeton and Mayor Michael Newhard also presented certificates issued by the town and village.
