Good Shepherd Lutheran Church of Warwick has 28 new stained glass windows Warwick - After years of planning, fund raising and with generous donations by its members, the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church of Warwick, located at 95 Kings Highway, has new stained glass windows in its sanctuary. The project began in 2003 with the commission of an altar window by a special committee to commemorate Pastor Kenneth Susskraut’s anniversary as pastor. Following its installation, the pastor and Marianne Behle, of the Downs-Behle Studio in Warwick, worked closely to develop the overall theme and design for the rest of the windows in the church. Made and installed in phases, as gifts and donations allowed, the 28 new windows use plants, elements and forms found in nature as symbols to illustrate scriptural selections from the Old and New Testaments. The new stained glass provides a fluid, visual connection between all of the windows in the Nave — bringing color and life into this newly renovated worship space. The Downs-Behle Studio has installed architectural stained glass in churches and public buildings throughout the country, as well as in businesses and residences.
