Students graduate, make dean's lists

    Local students continue to do well at their universities and colleges. Here’s a rundown of some of those achievements, sent in from the press offices of their schools: Two local students were among the December 2005 graduates from the State University of New York at Oneonta: • Adrienne Ross Folino was awarded a bachelor of science in geology. Folino is a Warwick Vally High School graduate and the daughter of Ross and Madelyn Folino of Pine Island. • Jesse Silver of Sugar Loaf received a bachelor of arts in communication media and production. Meanwhile, Jason Knudsen of Florida made the dean’s list for the 2005 Fall Semester at SUNY Cortland. The graduate of S.S. Seward Institute is majoring in business. • Christian M. Barbariantz of Florida was named to the dean’s list at SUNY Cortland for the fall semester. To make the dean’s list, a student must earn a GPA of 3.3 or better while completing 12 or more credits. • Blake P. Dugandzic of Warwick, a senior studio art major, and Lauren L. Feldner, also of Warwick, a junior human development major, have been named to the deans’ list for the fall semester at SUNY Oswego, by maintaining between 3.30 to 3.79 GPA. • Ryan Hallisey, a 2005 graduate of Warwick Valley High School, was named to the dean’s list for the first quarter at Rochester Institute of Technology’s College of Applied Sciences. Hallisey is studying mechanical engineering, with an automotive background. He is the son of Deborah Hallisey of Warwick and Mark Hallisey of New Windsor. • Kathryn Ann Glover, a 2003 graduate of Warwick Valley High School, was named to the dean’s list at Florida Gulf Coast University for her work during the fall semester. Glover is majoring in criminal forensics. To be named to the dean’s list, a student must attain a GPA of between 3.5 and 3.99. • Kevin Costello, a 2004 graduate of Warwick Valley High School, was named to the fall 2005 dean’s list at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, Pa. He is a computer science major and achieved a 4.0 GPA.
