St. John's Knights is now in 100th year

Goshen — Incoming Grand Knight Ben Matalucci said this is a big year for the St. John’s Knights of Columbus Council 1106, which celebrates its 100th anniversary this year. The Knights of Columbus is a national service organization that performs community service in the parish and in the community. The Knights held their installation of officers on Aug. 29. Outgoing Grand Knight Rick Sloat thanked the officers for their work during his tenure. As part of the celebration, Grand Knight Ben Matalucci presented membership jackets to the two new chaplains, Father Niranjan Rodrigo and Father Kent Wilson, both recently appointed to St. John’s Parish, to join pastor Father Thomas Dicks. Lifetime member Joseph Wydra was also presented with the 4th Degree Past Faithful Navigator pin. The installation of officers took place after mass and was followed by a reception for the Knights and their families.
