S.S. Seward graduate receives master's degree from Pepperdine

Florida - Scinde Randall Mumbauer, a member of the S.S. Seward Institute’s class of 1995, graduated from Pepperdine University with a master of science degree in education and administration on July 8 with a 4.0 grade point average. The graduation was held on the Malibu campus overlooking the Pacific Ocean. For her thesis, she led a team of teachers to create lesson plans from the sciences such as biology, physical science, geology and botany that were then used by a 40-parent volunteer program to bring a “Hands on Science” curriculum to students in kindergarten through fifth grade. The daughter of Gary and Kathy Randall of Warwick, she lives in Santa Monica, Calif., with her husband, Michael Mumbauer of Goshen, and teaches second grade in Redondo Beach, Calif.
