Paffenroths celebrate 50 years of marriage
WARWICK - Harvey and Carole (nee Langlitz) Paffenroth of Warwick celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Oct. 6 with family and friends with a party at the Ye Jolly Onion Inn Restaurant in Pine Island. Among the guests were the couple’s bridal party. Harvey and Carole were married Oct. 6, 1957, at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Pine Island. Today they are the parents of three wonderful daughters: Lori DeBlock, Kim Paffenroth and Amy Lijoi, and son-in-laws James DeBlock and Stephen Lijoi. They have four precious grandchildren: James K. DeBlock Jr., Sarah DeBlock, Aaron Lijoi and Rachel Faye Lijoi. The couple received a card of congratulations on their 50th wedding anniversary from President and Mrs. Bush. Mr. Paffenroth is a retired construction worker, commuting more than 35 years to New York City. After his retirement, he also worked for the Warwick Valley Telephone Company for nine years. Mrs. Paffenroth retired after 25 years as the Village Clerk for the Village of Warwick. The couple is planning a vacation this spring to North Carolina.
