William R. Preis Sr.

William R. Preis Sr. of Warwick, and formerly of River Edge, N.J., entered into rest on Monday, April 8, 2013. He was 91.

The son of John and Emma Best Preis, he was born Sept. 4, 1921, in Emerson, N.J.

He was a U.S. Air Force World War II veteran.

Survivors include his son William R. “Randy” Preis Jr. and his wife Ellen of Warwick; daughter, Karen Preis of Northfield, Vt.; grandsons Alden and Bradley and granddaughter Nora of Warwick.

Mr. Preis also leaves behind his wife Irene Lange of Venice, Fla., as well as nephews and families of John, Donald, Paul and Arthur Preis of Bergen County, N.J.

He was predeceased by his first wife, Gilda L. Ziegler, sister, Gertrude and brothers,John and Arthur.

Funeral services will be held privately and at the convenience of the family.
