William “Bill” Higgins Sr. of Ringwood, N.J., a retired attorney in Ringwood, N.J., entered into rest on Saturday, Dec. 28, 2019. He was 78.
The son of Hugh Higgins and Gertrude Cowan Higgins, he was born on March 5, 1941, in Teaneck, N.J.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Rosalind Sicina Higgins; three children: William Higgins Jr. and wife Denise, Michael Higgins and wife Tiffani and Elizabeth Husk and husband Christopher; six grandchildren: Austen, Tyler, Michael, Shane, William III and Graham; brother Andrew Higgins and wife Ruthann; sister-in-law Patricia Higgins; sister-in-law Jean Sicina Brac and husband Charles; brother-in-law Robert Sicina and companion Collette; along with several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his sister Gertrude and her husband Joseph and by his brother Hugh “Scott” Higgins.
Visitation was held Jan. 2 at T.S. Purta Funeral Home, 22 Glenmere Ave., Florida.
A funeral mass was held Jan. 3 at St. Joseph Church, 20 Glenmere Ave., Florida.
Burial will be held in St. Joseph Cemetery.
