    William D. Mackey of Warwick passed away on Saturday, March 31, 2018, at Schervier Pavilion. He was 95 years old.
    He was born Feb. 17, 1923. in Newark, N.J., the son of Henry and Louise Mackey.
    William was an executive with The George La Monte & Son Paper Co. of Nutley, N.J., and later with the La Monte Division of Georgia-Pacific Corp. in Warwick.
    He was a former member and president of the Nutley Tennis Club and a member of the Redwood Tennis Club of Middletown and the Green Ridge Golf Club of Johnson.
    He sang with the Nutley Choral Society and the Warwick Valley Chorale and served as president of both organizations.
    He was tenor soloist for many years at the Forest Hill Presbyterian Church in Newark, N.J., and the Webb Horton Church in Middletown.
    He was a published poet and is remembered as a frequent contributor to the “Record Breaker” column of the Times Herald-Record of Middletown.
    He leaves behind many friends. He was predeceased by a brother, Henry Jr.
    A funeral service was held April 4 at Lazear-Smith & Vander Plaat Memorial Home in Warwick.
    Cremation will be private.
