Vernon Adam Bonomi

    Vernon Adam Bonomi of Warwick died Monday, Oct. 15, 2012, at home. He was 80 years old.

    Born June 15, 1932, in Brooklyn, he was the son of Lino and Angelina (Bellotti) Bonomi.

    He was married to Patricia (Powers) Bonomi.

    Vernon served with the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was an electrician with the N.Y. Daily News in New York City and a member of St. Stephen’s R.C. Church. An avid hunter, he was a member of several hunting clubs.

    He is survived by his wife Patricia of Warwick; his children: Gerard Bonomi of Warwick, Lt. Col. John Bonomi and his wife Dorothy of Milford, Pa., Mary Bonomi of Warwick, Joan Bonomi of Brooklyn and Louise Bonomi of Brooklyn; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

    He was predeceased by his son Raymond in 2004.

    Visitation is scheduled for Thursday, Oct. 18, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at Lazear-Smith & Vander Plaat Memorial Home, 17 Oakland Ave., Warwick.

    A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Friday at St. Stephen’s R.C. Church, followed by interment in Warwick Cemetery.

    Memorial donations in his memory may be made to St. Stephen’s R.C. Church, 75 Sanfordville Road, Warwick, NY 10990.
